Membership Summary
- Membership period is one full calendar year from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31. The Association is now reviewing memberships for 2008.
- Nominations for the board of directors for the next calendar year will occur once annually in the month of November
- Voting for the board of directors will occur once annually in the month of December
- All members in good standing may participate in nominations and voting of board members
- All members shall be required to sign a Membership Agreement
- All associate members will be required to sign an Associate Membership Agreement
- All members and associate members shall be governed by the by laws and the Membership Agreement as set out by the Canadian Out of Home Digital Association (CODA) corporation
- Membership is granted to companies or organizations, not individuals. Membership in the corporation shall be limited to corporations, partnerships, joint ventures and trusts involved in the out of home digital industry and interested in furthering the objects of the corporation and shall consist of anyone whose application for admission as a member has received the approval of the board of directors of the corporation
- There shall be annual membership fees or dues as directed by the board of directors. Failure to pay such membership fees or dues by a member will result in the revocation by the board of directors of such membership
- The corporation reserves the right change fees or dues from time to time
- Any member may withdraw from the corporation by delivering to the corporation a written resignation and lodging a copy of the same with the secretary of the corporation
- Board of directors terms vary from 1,2 to 3 years
- Executive Committee members are elected for a minimum two year period
- Associate members have no voting rights but may attend annual meetings as observers
Membership Benefits
- There are two levels of membership: Member & Associate Member
- New members must be qualified by the membership committee and are subject to a board vote prior to obtaining member or associate member status
- Network operators may apply for full membership only
- Sub-committee participation is open to members only
Level 1: Member
- CODA membership provides industry credibility and recognition
- Memberships are held by companies with a designated individual representing that company
- The designates of Members are eligible to stand for election to the Board of Directors, or sub- committees.
- Members are entitled to vote for the association’s Board of Directors or other matters that require Member approval.
- Members will have premium space to highlight their company on the directory sections of the web-site and their logos on other marketing collateral.
- Members will have the opportunity to utilize future banner space on the CODA web-site.
- Members will be granted rights to utilize the a “CODA member logo/emblem” for company marketing.
- Members will receive discounts to CODA sponsored events.
- Members will receive regular CODA newsletters/ updates.
Level 2: Associate Member
- Associate members will have company information listed in alphabetical order in the directory sections of the web-site
- Associate members will be granted rights to utilize a “CODA associate member logo/emblem” for company marketing
- Associate members will receive discounts to CODA sponsored events
- Associate members will receive regular CODA newsletters/ updates
